HOME AND LIFESTYLE GODDESS
Do not even begin to say you can not cook! Everyone can boil water and cook pasta! If you want to have less carbs, use the range of spiralised vegetables instead, there is courgette and butternut squash. Ms C P swears by the butternut squash one. Mind you she swears about a lot of things, but that is another story!

While it is great to have a well stocked store cupboard, a well stocked freezer is a good idea and can be extremely time saving. Here are examples of vegetables that freeze well. Eaten on their own or made into a spicy veg soup, dinner in a few minutes!

GETTING PREPARED
CREATING A STORE CUPBOARD THAT ACTUALLY STORES WHAT YOU WANT!
WELL THATS A BIT RADICAL
If you have followed any of the advice over the last months you will have cupboards that only contain in date products that you actually use or need. You will have a freezer that is functional and ready for action. This time have a look in your fridge. If you have salad trays with new life forms growing, you just nasty!! Put on the rubber gloves and get working.
TAKING CARE OF THE FRIDGE, SO IT CAN TAKE CARE OF YOU
-
Remove all jars with unrecognisable content or those with new pencillin cures growing in them
-
Remove all uneaten food that has come back from holiday with you, it will not taste the same and probably will not see the light of day out of your cupboard
-
If you have changed your mind about something and no longer like/use it nows the time to say good bye to it - do not be precious about it
-
Take out all your trays/racks and give them a wash in soapy water, rinse and dry
-
Use a solution of washing up liquid to clean the interior of the fridge, dry and put everything back
-
Prior to adding new shopping to the fridge, why not make a Salad Tray Soup, this is when you use up unused vegetables. If you eat meat you can add any uneaten chicken and create a wonderful soup, that basically costs nothing. Add lentils or split peas to make it really hearty (dont go over board on the pulses, a little goes a long way)
-
Each week before you add new items, remove out of date food
-
ONLY BUY WHAT YOU NEED. Each year billions of tons of food are thrown away, be careful to utilise bargains but not over shop
-
Think of it this way, the bargains always come up. Do you need an extra tin of tuna or the money in your pocket. Too much bargain buying means less actual cash for you

Oh Stop it! What is this, Little House on the Prairie!
